The Gemeinnützige Gesellschaft Zug (GGZ) is an established social institution with an economic proximity to the primary labor market. Since 1884, it has combined social responsibility with professional services in the areas of social affairs, education, child and youth, and health. The GGZ is broadly networked in the Canton of Zug and is supported by the Canton and municipalities.

At GGZ@Work, we have been accompanying unemployed social assistance recipients and asylum seekers for over 30 years. Through targeted labor market measures, we support people on their way back into the primary labor market and offer structure and stability in everyday life through meaningful employment.

With a team of over 50 specialists, GGZ@Work provides services on behalf of the Zug municipalities, the Canton of Zug, and the IV, and carries out assignments for companies and private individuals.
The Counseling, Education & Placement department includes various offers for professional integration, qualification, and placement.

To strengthen our counseling team, we are looking for support starting January 1, 2027. The position is initially limited until December 31, 2027, with the possibility of an extension.

Job Coach 60 % ##

As a Job Coach, you accompany and advise job seekers on their way into the primary labor market. Together with the clients, you develop professional perspectives and support them in their job search and professional integration. In doing so, you work closely with specialists from the social sector, employers, and training institutions.

Your tasks

• Counseling and coaching of job seekers - clarifying the professional situation together with the clients and developing realistic perspectives for the labor market
• Checking vocational, initial, and further training opportunities
• Developing suitable measures in close cooperation with specialists from the social sector, employers, and training institutions
• Support with the concrete job search in the primary labor market, including targeted acquisition of positions
• Acquisition and counseling of companies as well as active maintenance and expansion of the network in the primary labor market

Your qualification

• Higher vocational training in the human resources, vocational counseling, and/or social sector
• Proven professional experience in counseling/coaching
• Good knowledge of the Swiss labor market, vocational training system, and social system
• Independent and self-responsible way of working
• Administrative as well as organizational skills and good IT skills
• Proficient German, good written expression, foreign language skills are an advantage
• High social competence, good communication skills, a service-oriented work attitude, and humor
