About Our Client ##

Our client is a dynamic company based in Geneva.

Job Description ##

As part of this 6 month temporary mission, the General Accountant will ensure the processing and monitoring of the accounting operations of one or more entities and will guarantee the reliability of financial data and compliance with deadlines in an international environment.

In detail:

Accounting and financial management

• Recording of supplier and customer invoices
• Control of accounting and analytical postings
• Monitoring of receipts, account reconciliation, and analysis of aged balances
• Management of supplier and customer disputes in coordination with internal teams
• Monitoring of supplier deadlines and overdue receivables

Payments, treasury and collection

• Preparation, control and validation of weekly payment files
• Interaction with banks and monitoring of short-term treasury
• Customer reminders in Switzerland and internationally
• Implementation and monitoring of collection plans

Fixed assets

• Commissioning and monitoring of tangible and intangible fixed assets
• Maintenance and updating of the fixed asset register
• Calculation and recording of depreciation
• Participation in physical inventories

International accounting support and closings

• Support for the complete maintenance of the accounting of a subsidiary
• Coordination with local stakeholders (finance, auditors, etc.)
• Contribution to monthly closings

The Successful Applicant ##

The General Accountant we are looking for will present the following profile and skills:

• Training in accounting/finance
• Minimum 3 years of experience in general accounting in an international environment
• Mastery of Swiss accounting standards (CO / Swiss GAAP an asset)
• Advanced level in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, etc.)
• Fluent French and English B2
