Your tasks:

We are looking for a practice-oriented personality who will technically co-shape demanding development projects from concept to implementation. Your focus will be on Aircraft Interiors and structural development, with possible deployment in other industries and technologies.

• Actively co-shape development projects from concept through prototype construction and testing to manufacturing, validation and integration, with a special focus on practical feasibility and technical implementation
• Clarify requirements with customers, develop design concepts, evaluate and present technical results
• Construct complex components and assemblies as well as create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, bills of materials and product structures
• Actively co-shape projects and coordinate technical work packages
• Evaluate technical concepts regarding function, manufacturability, costs and risks
• Technically coordinate suppliers, manufacturers and other engineering disciplines

Your profile:

• Sound practical and theoretical training in design / Mechanical Engineering / product development
• Several years of experience in the design and development of complex products
• Ability to think beyond the pure design task and to develop viable solutions in the event of conflicts of interest
• Confident handling of CAD and PDM/PLM systems as well as experience with technical drawings, bills of materials and product structures
• Strong understanding of manufacturing, assembly and practical feasibility
• Independent, flexible and solution-oriented personality with strong communication skills and willingness to take on technical responsibility
• Experience in working with customers, suppliers and project partners
• Very good German and English skills
• Experience with lightweight structures, experience in aviation or a comparable environment as well as experience in composites is an advantage
