Childcare Specialist Schule Allmend, 30-60 %

We are looking for reinforcement for the childcare facilities of Schule Allmend starting immediately.

Tasks ##

As a Childcare Specialist, you will be responsible as a floater 2 days per week (Thursday and Friday) at various locations for the care of students of kindergarten or primary school age. Together with other social educators and childcare specialists, you will ensure smooth daily operations. Exact details regarding working hours can be discussed during a personal interview with the Head of Childcare.
Your tasks include:

• You plan, organize and conduct the extracurricular childcare offering of the day school together with your colleagues
• You plan instructional support as well as social and leisure pedagogical activities and implement them
• You assume responsibility for the care of children with special needs in close cooperation with internal and external specialists and teachers
• You ensure appropriate parental work, taking into account different cultural, social and linguistic backgrounds
• You participate in school development. Schule Allmend is a young school and you will be actively involved in further development processes

Profile ##

• You enjoy working with children at the kindergarten level / primary level
• You have a professional qualification as a Childcare Specialist or Early Childhood Educator EFZ or equivalent
• You are flexible, resilient and maintain an overview even with lively groups of children
• You enjoy working in a team and value cooperation with teachers and parents
• You are administratively proficient and quickly familiarize yourself with new areas of responsibility

About us ##

Schulkreis Uto is one of seven school districts in the city of Zürich and includes the city districts 2 and 3 with the quarters Leimbach, Wollishofen, Enge, Friesenberg and Alt-Wiedikon.

The Allmend school building was completed shortly before the 2023 sports holidays and commenced operations after these. In the school building, Psychomotorik, Logopädie, Schulsozialarbeit, the MKZ as well as the Heilpädagogische Schule have also moved into their own rooms. A sports hall, a gymnastics room, an outdoor sports field on the roof of the school building, a library, a large canteen, a multipurpose room and many side rooms round off the offering.

Schule Allmend includes a total of six kindergartens, two of them in the school building, four others in the quarter. Since August 2023, Schule Allmend has been a day school. The House Services and Technology department ensures the maintenance of the school facility with its employees.
