Labor Inspector

Job description ## The Direction de la surveillance du marché du travail (DISMAT) is in charge notably of the fight against undeclared work and the execution of support measures for the free movement of persons. It protects workers by enforcing occupational health and safety (SST) standards and still regulates migrant work. In your capacity as a labor inspector, you monitor the compliance of working conditions and the organization of health and safety prevention in industrial and non-industrial companies in application of the LTr, the LAA and the MSST directive. You promote occupational safety and health in companies and examine the compliance of company premises plans with a view to issuing authorizations. Finally, you also contribute to the detection of infractions relating to the LTN. Responsibilities ## • Monitor the compliance of working conditions and the organization of health and safety prevention in industrial and non-industrial companies in application of the LTr, the LAA and the MSST directive ; • Promote occupational safety and health in companies ; • Examine the compliance of company premises plans and issue authorizations ; • Contribute to the detection of infractions relating to the LTN ; • Execute any task or mission entrusted by the hierarchy. Qualifications ## • EPF, HES engineering degree or university degree. Safety engineer, ergonomist or occupational hygienist. • Federal certificate of specialist in Occupational Safety and Health Protection (STPS). • Good practical technical and scientific knowledge. Experience in an activity related to labor law and/or in occupational safety and in health prevention (physical and psychological) in a private or public structure. • Driver's license and use of personal vehicle. • Proficiency in German, English or Italian would be an asset.
