Together with its affiliated organizations, it defends the interests of workers on political, economic and [social] levels. For 1 January 2027 or another date to be agreed, we are looking for a Central Secretary Public Service and health (80--100 %) ------------------------------------------------------------ As a member of the USS central secretariat, you are responsible for the public service file. This includes companies close to the Confederation (La Poste, CFF, Swisscom), public transport, media and the SSR, as well as energy supply and the electricity market. A particular emphasis will be placed on health policy. In this capacity, you will strengthen the USS's expertise in health economics, particularly on the issues of health system financing. You will develop positions, closely monitor legislative and consultation procedures, and represent the USS within extra-parliamentary commissions, before Parliament and the administration, as well as in the public sphere. You may also represent the USS within international organizations. You hold a university degree, for example in political science, law or economics, and have several years of professional experience. Furthermore, you possess in-depth knowledge of federal politics and the trade union world. Working within organizational bodies is familiar to you and you enjoy creating and maintaining professional networks. You quickly master legal, economic and technical issues, whether it concerns regulation, financing or liberalization, to translate them into clear political positions. You convincingly defend the interests of employees and the population in maintaining a strong public service, and you know how to assert yourself and motivate others. You are able to express yourself precisely and in a structured manner in French or German, with good knowledge of the other language being required. In addition, your mastery of English allows you to conduct negotiations within the framework of your international files.
