Specialized Associate / Specialized Associate – Commerce Police (job sharing possible)

Your mission in Biel

The Département de la sécurité publique is in close and permanent contact with the population and ensures security, peaceful cohabitation, and the legality of the activities that make up city life. Its Service de l'Inspection de police is responsible for the execution of communal police tasks as well as tasks delegated by the Canton, such as the commerce police.

You examine requests, issue authorizations, carry out inspections, and intervene if necessary. You autonomously handle demanding files and write position papers, reports, and denunciations. You work within a team of specialists in the most varied fields (hotel-restaurant, taxis, prostitution, etc.). * Do you know how to assert yourself with confidence and determination, while remaining calm and seeking solutions, even in demanding situations?

• Are you willing to engage with different interlocutors, including in difficult contexts, in order to conduct interviews and clarify situations?
• Do you demonstrate versatility and flexibility and are you available for occasional commitments outside of regular office hours?
• Do you accept a sometimes heavy workload depending on the needs of the service and are you willing to carry out regular interventions in the field?

The profile we dream of

• CFC with specific training for the function; police training or experience in security, an asset
• Solid professional experience and interest in the field of public security
• Good reputation, with no entry in the criminal record or the debt collection register
• Mastery of French or German and good knowledge of the other language
• Good mastery of IT tools and databases
• Ease in writing reports, analyses, and processing complaints
