Grischelectra AG (GEAG) is a legally independent electricity company in which the Canton Graubünden, Bündner municipalities, Bündner power companies, Bündner industry with high energy consumption and the Rhätische Bahn are involved with a total of 70 percent of the share capital. Repower AG and Axpo Solutions AG are involved in GEAG with the remaining 30 percent. With the founding of GEAG in 1978, the aim was, among other things, to utilize the energy contributed by the Bündner municipalities and the Canton Graubünden. The government of the Canton Graubünden has the right to submit election proposals for three persons for seating on the Board of Directors of the company to the Board of Directors for the attention of the General Assembly (cantonal representations).
