The Robotics Business Unit develops, produces and markets pipetting robots in order to automate liquid handling processes for the pharmaceutical industry, the food industry, as well as research on cells or DNA. What you can achieve: We are looking for a Senior AI Software Engineer / AI Solutions Architect who combines a strong foundation in software engineering with practical experience in artificial intelligence, particularly in the application of modern AI capabilities such as large language models (LLMs) in real products. This is a practical engineering role, not a purely conceptual or research-oriented position. The ideal candidate actively builds, experiments and delivers production-ready software while contributing to the strategic adoption of AI across products and teams. The role sits at the intersection of: • Software engineering • AI/ML application • Product innovation The candidate will play a key role in how AI is integrated into current and future products and will contribute to internal AI capabilities, tools and best practices. What you bring: • Master's degree in software engineering, computer science or a related field with a specialization in AI • More than 5 years of experience in software development and working with AI / machine learning • Technical skills in programming and engineering (C#, Python or TypeScript, Java, Go) • Practical experience with large language models (LLMs, AI APIs and integration) • Excellent communication skills with technical and business stakeholders • Mentoring and coaching mindset • Curiosity and a continuous learning attitude • English (C1) and additionally German (B2) in writing and speaking Discover more professional opportunities at Hamilton at jobs.hamilton.ch.
