Haute École Arc Ingénierie is advertising a position for an Ordinary HES Professor (100%) head of the Machine and Product Design competence group Your mission You assume responsibility for the Machine and Product Design group within HE Arc Ingénierie, while actively contributing to partnership, scientific, and pedagogical development. The position involves conducting research and innovation activities in direct connection with the needs of the industrial fabric of the Jura Arc, contributing to teaching support, as well as participating in the institution's influence at the regional and national levels. Your functions The selected person supervises, manages, and unites the resources of an R&D competence group, ensuring the sustainability and evolution of skills in the themes related to their group and around a coherent strategic vision. They also ensure the prospecting, acquisition, and follow-up of innovation projects as well as R&D mandates, in direct interaction with our industrial and academic partners. The function includes rigorous budget management; the results and activities conducted are promoted both at the scientific level and to the general public, notably through networking actions within the regional industrial ecosystem. The position also includes teaching activities in our Industrial Design Engineering and Microtechniques programs, as well as the supervision of other related teaching, notably the Master MSE. Close collaboration with other competence groups of the HE Arc and other academic institutions is expected. Your profile The position requires higher education in engineering sciences, preferably in mechanical engineering, with confirmed experience in the design and/or eco-design of production machines (machining, assembly, additive, etc.) and mastery of different technologies and processes (milling, turning, laser, additive, etc.). Skills in the design of technical consumer products is a plus. At least five years of professional experience in an industrial environment are expected as well as confirmed skills in team management. A Master's or equivalent degree is required, while complementary training in management constitutes an asset. The function requires a proven ability to coordinate and unite multidisciplinary teams, to steer R&D projects, and to master the setup of such projects as well as the search for funding. An analytical, creative, and rigorous approach is indispensable, as well as excellent communication ease and a strong aptitude for collaborative work. Mastery of French and English is required, while knowledge of German represents an additional advantage.
