This is the contribution you can make

• Write analyses and assessments on current and relevant issues and developments within the area of responsibility of the Federal Criminal Police
• Create foundations, reports, recommendations, and statements for various matters such as parliamentary initiatives, Federal Council matters, departmental consultations, etc.
• Manage cross-departmental matters and dossiers with political-strategic relevance and conduct consultations with internal and external partners for this purpose
• Provide management support for the directorate area and departmental management, including preparing and compiling management dossiers, decision-making bases, and background information
• Support the development and evaluation of strategies and instruments to further develop the fight against crime and the operational police work of the Federal Criminal Police

What makes you unique

• University degree preferably in a legal direction or equivalent training, as well as ideally work experience in a police corps
• Very good knowledge of the internal security of Switzerland, domestic and foreign partner organizations, as well as the international security architecture and the administrative processes of public administration
• Sound knowledge of criminal prosecution as well as ideally knowledge of operational police tactics and operations
• Quick comprehension, analytical, structured, and result-oriented way of working, as well as a high level of personal responsibility and enjoyment of working in interdisciplinary teams
• Very good knowledge of two of our official languages as well as English

fedpol fights serious crime. The Federal Criminal Police (BKP) of fedpol investigates federal criminal proceedings against serious crime (e.g., terrorism, organized crime, human trafficking, cybercrime, economic crime), is responsible for the analysis of crime within federal jurisdiction, and supports the cantons and foreign authorities with criminal and judicial police tasks.
The Department of Steering, Planning and Staff of the Federal Criminal Police (SPS) ensures management support for the leadership and the departments of the BKP. It is responsible for strategic and political business processing, manages criminal police training and further education, and provides services in the areas of personnel, finance, procurement, and IT support.
