Deputy Ward Manager Postpartum Luzern

On a postpartum ward with around 800 births per year, you will take on leadership responsibility while simultaneously remaining close to daily nursing practice. In Luzern, we are filling a position as Deputy Ward Manager Postpartum with a workload of 80 – 100 % as of 1 December 2026 or by arrangement. You will support the ward manager, accompany new families, and further develop the ward together with the delivery room.

• You support the ward manager in professional, personnel, and organizational matters
• You assume responsibility in the absence of the ward manager
• You are present in daily nursing practice, support your team professionally, and accompany employees as well as trainees
• You recognize development and optimization potential and contribute your ideas to projects and processes
• You shape the further development of the ward in close cooperation with the delivery room
• In addition to postpartum women, you also care for surgical patients

What you bring with you

• Dipl. Pflegefachfrau HF/FH or Dipl. Pflegefachmann HF/FH (DNII, AKP) with several years of experience in postpartum care
• Leadership training or the willingness to complete it
• Structured, networked way of working with business understanding
• Resilience, sense of responsibility, and strong communication skills
