Deputy Head of Holiday Care (30 %)

Would you like to participate in the design and leadership of the holiday care for the Volksschule Stadt Luzern? Are you a strong personality with leadership skills and organizational talent, for whom the well-being of children is a matter of course and at the center of everything? Your tasks

• You support the holiday care management in various areas of responsibility and occasionally assume overall responsibility as a deputy (personnel management, communication with internal and external stakeholders, budget, guidance/support of new employees and trainees)
• You plan and create the rough program for the activities
• You manage the operational business at a holiday care location during several weeks (deployment times in consultation with the overall management)

Your profile

• Social pedagogical, socio-cultural, or pedagogical training at tertiary level (higher vocational training)
• You bring experience in school-based care
• You are resilient, agile, and enjoy working with children in large, changing, and heterogeneous groups of children
• You want to take on responsibility and partial leadership tasks
• You are available for the majority of the time during the holiday care weeks and perform your annual working time from January to the end of October

Holiday care offers kindergarten and primary school children of the Volksschule Stadt Luzern day care from 7--18 o'clock during the school holidays. No holiday care takes place during the Christmas holidays and on municipal holidays.
Children are cared for and spend free time with other children playing and participating in joint activities. Holiday care is carried out at three to four school locations.
