Safety Officer Road Infrastructure (SIBE)

Do you want to contribute to the safety of the diverse users of transport infrastructures with your work? The Kantonale Tiefbauamt manages around 740 km of cantonal roads -- and you ensure, through reliable testing and enforcement of all safety-relevant requirements, that the cantonal roads are safe for everyone. You identify weaknesses through extensive data collection and analysis and, based on this, you develop suggestions for improvement and support their implementation. For our Abteilung Projekt Management Verkehr, we are looking for an independent personality who wants to bring their expertise to a versatile field of tasks.

Your tasks

• Systematic safety assessment of the existing cantonal road network (RSI, EUM, BSM, NSM)
• Accompanying and assessing planning (RIA, RSA)
• Collaboration and support of project managers, working groups, commissions and authorities on traffic safety issues
• Maintaining cadasters with safety-relevant content (pedestrian crossing, restraint system cadasters, etc.).

What you bring with you

• A completed university of applied sciences degree in the fields of spatial planning or transport or a comparable qualification and further training in the field of traffic or road safety (ISSI)
• Some years of experience in the planning and / or monitoring of traffic safety
• Prudent, audience-appropriate interaction with the diverse stakeholders
• Negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Networked, analytical thinking and goal-oriented working to develop solutions
• Good specialist knowledge in the field of standards and legislation
• Enjoyment in contributing your own professional expertise in exchange with project managers
