your responsibilities In this exciting role, you will design, develop, and continuously improve automated testing environments supporting innovative R&D projects. You will be responsible for developing and enhancing PLC-based control systems, ensuring they align with product and technology roadmaps while delivering reliable and high-quality system solutions. Working closely with multidisciplinary development, quality, and mechatronics teams, you will program PLC applications using the TwinCAT (Beckhoff) environment with Structured Text (ST), integrate sensors, actuators, I/O modules, and communication interfaces, and contribute to the realization of complex engineering systems. You will also perform verification and validation testing in accordance with internal, customer, and industry standards, maintain comprehensive technical documentation throughout all project phases, and provide technical support during product commissioning as well as second-level customer support.
your profile You have completed a technical qualification as an Automation Technician (EFZ or equivalent) and ideally hold an advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. You bring at least five years of hands-on experience developing software with TwinCAT (Beckhoff) using Structured Text (ST) and have proven expertise in the development and integration of PLC-based control systems. You are familiar with electrical circuit diagrams and hardware design and have experience with verification and validation testing in an engineering environment. You combine strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, hands-on mindset and a structured approach to engineering challenges. You communicate fluently in English, while German language skills and experience supporting customer commissioning are considered an advantage.
