Head of Accounting 80 - 100% # The Jugendstrafrechtspflege of the Canton of Zürich, with its approximately 120 employees, investigates and assesses crimes committed by adolescents between the ages of ten and eighteen. The five regional Jugendanwaltschaften conduct the criminal investigations and are responsible for the execution of juvenile criminal law protective measures and penalties. The Oberjugendanwaltschaft bears overall responsibility for the planning, leadership, and management of the Jugendstrafrechtspflege, provides services to the Jugendanwaltschaften, and is their supervisory body. Immediately or by arrangement, we are looking for a responsible and committed personality as Head of Accounting 80 - 100%. These tasks await you: ### • Technical and personnel leadership of the 2-3 employees of the central accounting department (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and client accounting) • Ensuring orderly, periodic, and timely bookkeeping as well as participation in interim and annual financial statements, budgeting, and planning • Responsibility for uniform financial processes, their documentation, as well as continuous optimization and further development • Contact person for technical questions and close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders on finance-relevant topics • Participation in day-to-day operational business as needed, as well as support and deputy functions in controlling • Participation in financial projects, particularly in cooperation with the Finanzdirektion and internal departmental offices • Promotion and further development of employees as well as support for operational accounting during personnel bottlenecks What distinguishes you: ### • Commercial basic training with further education at the Higher Vocational School (HF) level in finance and accounting or a bachelor's degree in a comparable field • Several years of professional experience in finance and accounting, preferably in public administration • Leadership experience • Very good user knowledge of MS Office and SAP • Independent, prudent, and service-oriented way of working as well as high resilience • Loyalty, confidentiality, and a confident handling of demanding situations and sensitive dossiers We offer you: ### We offer a meaningful, varied, and challenging field of activity.
