Job Description As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for the programming of the PLC control system of the assigned perimeter. You will ensure the maintenance of the systems (system & application) to guarantee the availability of the production facilities at the Monthey site, while acting as a technical referent for specific interfaces. Responsibilities Programming and Maintenance: Ensure 1st and 2nd level maintenance of PLC and DCS control systems. Program automated applications for projects or maintenance modifications. Guarantee the rigorous update of technical documentation (functional analyses, etc.). Technical Expertise & Support: Act as a referent for the Foxboro interface for the site's automation maintenance. Collaborate with the method group for certain specific developments. Ensure the technical reception and validation of modifications provided by projects. Operations & Safety: Participate in daily production meetings (TIER 2) upon request or in case of a detected problem. Provide periodic on-call duty for troubleshooting across the entire site. Strictly apply defined procedures, working methods, and HSEQ standards. Qualifications Education: Technician diploma, Engineer, or equivalent professional training in automation/electrotechnics. Experience Confirmed experience in programming in a continuous process and batch industry. Good knowledge of chemical processes. Technical Skills Mastery of DCS / PLC programming and system architectures. Ability to quickly learn Foclan and Foxboro systems. Mastery of maintenance tools (e.g., CAPA SOFT). Personal Qualities: Rigor in programming and the application of HSEQ standards. Excellent analytical and organizational skills and team spirit. Customer orientation and ability to respond clearly to the needs of sector partners.
