For over 50 years, the Zweckverband Soziale Dienste Bezirk Uster (sdbu) has been committed to the people in the seven member municipalities of the Bezirk Uster. Around 80 employees make an important daily contribution to the population at five locations and provide services in the areas of adult protection, social counseling, addiction counseling, work, and housing. Two new positions have been created to strengthen our Social Counseling department. Therefore, we are looking for two Social Workers (80-100%) ## Start of employment per 15 November 2026 or by arrangement Your area of responsibility - versatile & responsible • You advise and accompany social assistance recipients in statutory social assistance and/or recognized refugees (B), provisionally admitted persons (VA), persons with protection status (S), and asylum seekers (N). • You support and empower your clients in challenging life situations according to the principle of help for self-help. • You calculate and pay economic social assistance according to the SKOS guidelines and/or asylum welfare in accordance with the applicable legal bases. • You analyze the individual situation of your clients, initiate suitable measures, and work closely with internal and external specialist agencies. In addition, you write reports and applications for the social authorities. • You initiate and coordinate integration measures in cooperation with specialist agencies and institutions and benefit from the internal offerings of the sdbu such as job coaching and employment offers from sdbu Arbeit. • You support your clients in asserting claims against upstream social insurance providers and other benefit providers. • You perform case administration in KLIB as well as in the digital dossier. • You work closely in a tandem with the responsible clerk, who effectively relieves you of administrative tasks. Your competencies - what you bring with you • You have a completed degree in Social Work (FH) as well as professional experience in statutory social assistance and/or in the asylum and refugee sector. • You know the legal bases as well as the challenges in advising and accompanying people in demanding life situations. • In the asylum and refugee sector, you are familiar with the specific issues in supporting and advising asylum seekers and refugees. • You are an empathetic, communicative, and committed personality with an independent, structured way of working and value teamwork. • Ideally, you have user knowledge of the social assistance software KLIB and/or bring experience in the accounting of the asylum sector.
