METI is responsible for providing highly competitive supply structures to its gas and electricity sales subsidiaries, optimizing its electricity production assets, managing the LNG portfolio, and trading around international positions. Job Description • Support the senior legal counsel and the legal team in the preparation, review, and negotiation of commercial documentation for LNG, Electricity, and Gas transactions • Provide clear and practical legal support to the business activity on daily commercial transactions • Draft, review, and negotiate a range of energy trading contracts, including sale and purchase agreements, transport agreements, and other commercial contracts • Assist the legal team in advising on the structuring and execution of LNG, Electricity, and Gas transactions • Work closely with the Trading, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and other internal teams to understand business needs and provide practical legal solutions • Help identify and assess regulatory requirements relevant to LNG, Electricity, and Gas activities, including licensing and reporting obligations, and help ensure company compliance Qualifications • 2 to 5 years of experience in an in-house legal role or in an international law firm, ideally with exposure to LNG, Electricity, Gas, or broader energy trading • Good foundation in legal drafting and contract negotiation, with an interest in developing expertise in energy marketing and trading agreements, both physical and financial • Initial practical experience with LNG or Natural Gas trading contracts is a significant asset • Good understanding of energy markets and interest in commodity trading and associated financial instruments • Familiarity with EU commodity markets, exchanges, and commodity derivatives is a plus • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
