Data Engineering Traffic Data & API (80-100%) Shape the traffic information of Switzerland with At Viasuisse, you develop data solutions that contribute daily to making traffic safer and more efficient. In our five-member team, you develop data pipelines, interfaces, and data products for real-time traffic information. In doing so, you work with a wide variety of data sources, modern technologies, as well as internal specialists and external technology partners. You are not working on a classic Data Warehouse here, but on a dynamic platform that processes traffic data nationwide. Your solutions are used by media, navigation services, authorities, companies, and the public, and contribute daily to safe and efficient mobility. Your tasks You develop and operate robust ETL/ELT pipelines for real-time and historical traffic data. You integrate data sources such as traffic reports, construction sites, weather, event, routing, and Open Data. You transform raw data into structured and usable traffic information. You develop data models as well as REST APIs and data services for customers, partners, and internal applications. You work on the further development of our data products – for example, maps, heatmaps, and dashboards. You ensure data quality, monitoring, and stable data flows. You document interfaces, data models, and API specifications. You automate data processes and quality checks. You develop the data foundations for reporting, analytics, and future Machine Learning applications. You work closely with internal specialists and external technology partners. What you bring with you Experience: At least two years of professional experience in Data, Software, or Analytics Engineering. Core Tech: Very good knowledge in and SQL. Data Competence: Experience with data pipelines, data modeling, and data quality. Working Method: Independent, structured way of working with enjoyment in SME teamwork and external partners. Focus: Great interest in mobility, geodata, real-time data, and further development in the field of Machine Learning. English skills for technical documentation and cooperation with tech partners. Not a must-have – but a big plus APIs & Backend: Familiarity with REST APIs, OpenAPI as well as JavaScript, TypeScript or . Data Architecture: Initial experience with Databricks, Spark, or Data Lake architectures. Databases: Knowledge in PostgreSQL (ideally with PostGIS) or MongoDB.
