Department of Education Your tasks Assessments You assess the need for help and protection of children and adolescents on behalf of families, the KESB, or the court. You triage or initiate appropriate support services in cooperation with parents and specialist agencies in child protection. Mandate management You prepare reports for the KESB as well as the court and are responsible for the implementation of statutory child protection measures. As a legal guardian (Beistandsperson), you advise and support the entire family system regarding educational matters. Developing solutions serving the child's welfare You always keep the child at the center when you indicate assistance for upbringing in the outpatient or inpatient sector, advise parents during separation and divorce, or assess the burdens in cases of domestic violence. Cooperation in child protection You build sustainable working alliances with the parents and their children as well as involved third parties. You maintain clear and binding cooperation with homes, providers of outpatient assistance, and various other specialist agencies in the canton. Your profile Experience You have experience in statutory social work and ideally bring knowledge and/or additional qualifications in the areas of child protection, case management, as well as systemic/solution-oriented counseling. Personality You are characterized by independent, structured, and responsible work. In addition, you bring openness, motivation, and enjoyment of team-oriented cooperation. Education You have a Bachelor's in Social Work and can preferably demonstrate several years of professional experience in child protection.
