Automation Engineer HYDRO Exploitation SA is an important service provider, particularly active in the field of operation and maintenance of energy generation plants. We combine all the necessary competencies under one roof, from maintenance personnel to engineering. We operate and maintain a plant park with more than 40 hydroelectric plants. Their installed capacity corresponds to approximately 22% of the capacity available from hydropower in Switzerland (25% including the pumping stations). Together, the plants operated by us generate about 16% of the electricity from hydropower in Switzerland. Thanks to our unique expertise, we propose services with high added value to our customers, which satisfy their diverse needs as well as their high quality requirements. Our range of services is aimed at electricity companies, public institutions, transport companies, and industry. We are mainly active in Switzerland, but occasionally also carry out assignments abroad. Automation Engineer Work location: Hybrid Your mission: In the Automation & Control unit, as an experienced automation engineer, you will carry out projects in the field of control technology and communication in the areas of hydropower, water management, and treatment. Since operation is our core business, you will also contribute to the maintenance as well as to interventions in the operated plants. Your tasks: Program industrial controllers and carry out their commissioning Strengthen and further develop the competencies of the Automation & Control unit in the realization of industrial automation systems Participate in the implementation of technical concepts as well as in the development and the preventive or predictive maintenance of the control technology of the operated plants Execution and management of large, complex automation and network projects from the detailed study to commissioning as a technical lead Organization and coordination of technicians, manufacturers, and third-party providers within the framework of the projects Your competencies: Engineer FH/ETH in the field of automation with at least 3 years of professional experience Good knowledge of Siemens and controls Knowledge and/or experience in Data Science / Machine Learning are an advantage Desired experience in hydroelectric plants or in energy generation plants Excellent sense of responsibility and safety Native language French or German with very good knowledge of the other language We are one of the leading companies on the market in our field and offer you excellent employment conditions, further training opportunities, and a motivating working atmosphere.
