A Head of Home Support Department (Member of the Management Board) The Freiburgische Rote Kreuz (SRK) is a cantonal association founded in 1909 and a member of the Swiss Red Cross. Our association employs around 160 staff members, is supported by 500 volunteers, and is active in the areas of health, migration, and social affairs. We are committed to all people in need and adhere to the principles of the Red Cross. We are looking for A Head of Home Support Department (Member of the Management Board) You are responsible for managing all services in the area of care and support at home for seniors as well as supporting families. This area of responsibility includes, in particular, the Red Cross transport service, home visits, the Red Cross emergency call, relief for relatives, supervised meals, and emergency care for sick children through the Rotkäppchen service. In this function, you will be supported by a team of around ten specialized, motivated, and experienced staff members. This team is supplemented by around 30 external employees who work in the relief service for relatives and in the Rotkäppchen service for childcare at home in emergency situations. Of the around 500 volunteers engaged in the institution, around 200 are involved in the activities of your department. As a member of the management board, you will contribute to the institution's operational decisions and be responsible for them towards the affected staff members, volunteers, and partners. Main tasks: - To lead the activities according to the institution's goals and guidelines - Management and administration of the service in the areas (organization, finance, team management) - Promotion and further development of the activities towards the public, authorities, and other partners - Building, maintaining, and developing a network of private and institutional partners within the framework of the various activities in the area of care and support at home - Management and further development of the cantonal and national mandates while complying with the specified requirements. Sought profile: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of social affairs, management, or an equivalent recognized education - Proven experience in the operational management of a comparable activity - Pronounced team and sense of responsibility - Mother tongue Swiss or German with very good knowledge of the other language - Mastery of common IT and administrative tools - Natural leadership qualities and several years of experience in leading a multidisciplinary team - Social competence and sovereign communication with colleagues and external partners.
