At the Staatsanwaltschaft Emmental-Oberaargau in Burgdorf, an internship position is to be assigned on various start dates. The internship lasts 6 months with an employment level of 80-100%. Your tasks <br /> • Independently draft and edit indictments, non-prosecution, and discontinuation orders • Prepare requests for legal assistance and penal orders • Legal clarifications in all criminal law matters • Prepare and record interrogations, objection, and settlement hearings • Accompany prosecutors to court hearings and on-call duties • Monitor visits by remand prisoners <br /> Your profile A prerequisite for a legal internship is the successful completion of a master's degree in law. You are interested in criminal and criminal procedural law, possess quick comprehension skills, and are characterized by a structured and efficient way of working. In addition, you are resilient and flexible. Due to your communicative and open nature, it is easy for you to integrate into a team. You are a native German speaker with a stylistically confident expression. We offer you As an intern at a regional Staatsanwaltschaft, you will work in close cooperation with the prosecutors to process cases of adult criminal law for which the respective regional Staatsanwaltschaft is locally and substantively competent based on the place of the offense. The crimes to be investigated include all offenses of the Criminal Code, from insults and theft to murder, as well as auxiliary criminal law, namely road traffic and narcotics offenses. During the internship, you will generally (regional differences possible) have the opportunity to respond to an extraordinary death as part of the prosecutorial on-call service, participate in a house search and, with corresponding interest, attend an autopsy.
