To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed personality as Head of Environment and Sustainability (80–100%) starting 1. Januar 2027 or by arrangement. You are responsible for the environmental, energy and sustainability policy dossiers of scienceindustries and represent the interests of the member companies towards politics, authorities and other stakeholders. You also process important future topics surrounding sustainability, energy supply and the competitiveness of Switzerland as an industrial and innovation location. Your tasks include in particular: Observation and analysis of regulatory developments at national and international levels in the areas of environment, energy and sustainability. Preparation of positions, statements and technical foundations on topics such as climate and energy policy, decarbonization, water protection, air pollution control and circular economy. Representation of the association's interests towards the federal administration, parliament, cantons, umbrella organizations as well as other relevant organizations. Support of working groups and specialist committees as well as advising member companies on technical and regulatory issues. Cooperation in national and international associations and specialist organizations. Responsibility for the implementation and further development of the Responsible Care Program in Switzerland. Your profile: University degree in natural, environmental or legal sciences, environmental economics or a comparable field of study with a connection to environmental, energy or sustainability topics. Professional experience in one or more of the areas of environment, energy, sustainability or industrial regulation. Interest in political and regulatory topics as well as enjoyment of working at the interface of economy, politics and administration. Ability to prepare complex technical and regulatory issues in an understandable way and to bring different perspectives together. Independent, proactive and solution-oriented way of working. Negotiation skills, confident appearance and strong communication skills. Very good German and English skills; French skills are an advantage.
