Innovation Manager Army Staff

Bern (and home office) | 80-100% Your contribution • Be responsible for innovation within the Army Staff as well as effectively integrate, implement and further develop the current innovation system of the Defense Group within the Army Staff • Identify, define priorities and follow innovation projects in collaboration with the line, promoting their implementation in a pragmatic, effective and user-oriented manner • Motivate and enable employees and entire specialized services to propose new ideas, to take on responsibility as well as to contribute actively and daily to shaping innovation • Create, coordinate and strengthen a network of innovation officers in the form of a community • Monitor and document innovation projects, budgets, pending issues and progress made in a structured manner, processing this information appropriately for the recipients, as well as ensuring an overview of ongoing projects • Persuade, involve in a network of contacts and make different interest groups open to novelty at all levels, even in a complex and highly regulated context <br /> What distinguishes you • Higher education (SSS, SUP, Uni or equivalent training) or corresponding field experience in innovation, transformation, organizational development, business administration or a related sector • Propensity to actively promote change, to experiment with novelties and to implement innovation in a pragmatic way • Personal initiative, sense of responsibility, ability to make decisions and capacity to persevere even in the face of difficulties and to achieve results • Practical experience or strong interest in innovative and modern working methods such as design thinking, lean startup or agile approaches • Structured and organized working methodology, propensity to manage projects, lists, reports, minutes and overviews in an orderly manner and to move complex projects forward in a coordinated way; experience in administration is an advantage • Active knowledge of at least a second official language (B2) as well as English knowledge at least at level B2 <br /> In summary As the innovation manager within the Army Staff, you are an enterprising person with a creative spirit. Based on political directives, it develops the strategic bases, the development of the armed forces as well as the planning of the armed forces and equipment and assumes tasks in the context of international security. The conduct, management and coordination of all cross-sectional sectors (Personnel, Finance, Real Estate) also fall within its sphere of competence. The Swiss Army employs over 9000 employees within the framework of four military professions and approximately 200 civil professions, in 110 locations throughout the national territory.
