Start date: 1 October 2027 / 1 April 2028/ 1 October 2028 Workplace: Bienne The Ministère public Jura bernois-Seeland, Antenne du Jura bernois offers a practical internship position. The workplace is Bienne (start 2027) and Tavannes (start 2028). The duration of the internships is 6 months for an occupancy rate of 80-100%. Your tasks <br /> • Drafting of dismissal orders, orders of non-applicability, and suspension • Drafting of penal orders • Preparation and taking of minutes of hearings • Drafting of proposals for provisional detention and requests for the extension of provisional detention • Drafting of indictments and requisitions • Analysis of files for the purpose of making proposals for investigative acts • Research work and drafting of legal opinions • Drafting of requests for international judicial assistance <br /> Your profile • An internship is conditional upon the successful completion of master's level law studies • You have intuition and an interest in criminal procedure • You are capable of providing reliable, quality work within sometimes short deadlines and possess a capacity for rapid understanding of the problems posed • You know how to demonstrate perseverance, endurance and resistance to stress and possess good communication skills and an easy manner of contact • You are a French native speaker with good passive knowledge of German We offer you As an intern within a regional public prosecutor's office, you will work in close collaboration with prosecutors on criminal law cases applicable to adults for which the regional public prosecutor's office in question is competent by reason of place and matter due to the location of the offense. The offenses to be investigated encompass all factual states of the criminal code, from insult to theft through to murder, but also accessory criminal law, notably offenses regarding road traffic and the narcotics law. During the internship, you will generally have (regional differences possible) the opportunity to intervene as part of the on-call service during an extraordinary death, to participate in a search and, if of interest, to attend an autopsy.
