DevOps Engineer III (data platform)

Zimmerwald | 80-100% (jobsharing possible) What you can contribute • Plan, implement, and operate modern GitOps and infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions and assume responsibility for the entire deployment cycle • Design, operate, automate, and evolve MLOps environments for the reliable deployment, monitoring, and operation of artificial intelligence and machine learning models throughout their lifecycle, including GPGPU hardware infrastructure • Continuously administer, maintain, and optimize complex Linux system landscapes ensuring end-to-end operation of an ICT layer for a data platform to guarantee stable and high-performance operation • Ensure global administration of Linux systems, optimize their performance, and implement system hardening measures and security configurations • Operate, evolve, and optimize monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to guarantee reliable system operation • Handle the physical infrastructure of the computing center (incl. components related to servers, network, and the data center) and contribute to installation and maintenance work <br /> What makes you unique • Degree in computer science (ES or HES) with several years of experience in the fields of engineering and operation of complex IT systems • Strong DevOps skills resulting from several years of experience in the setup, operation, and automation of modern Linux infrastructures, global knowledge concerning IaC, GitOps, and associated processes • Ambition to excel in one's field, strong willingness to learn, and openness to global and elegant ICT solutions as well as innovative approaches (e.g., Dhall, Pull-GitOps, dew computing and fog computing paradigms) • Practical mindset, autonomy, sense of teamwork, pleasure in working on the entire technology stack (from the physical computing center infrastructure to automated platform and big data environments such as ClickHouse or Kafka) • Impeccable reputation and ability to integrate into an intelligence-related environment and act with discretion at all times • Active knowledge in a second official language and good knowledge of English <br /> In a few words You are part of a team of data science specialists active in processing civil and military communication data. The intelligence acquired supports the Federal Intelligence Service and Military Intelligence, thereby contributing significantly to the security policy of Switzerland.
