Metering Specialist (M/F/X) SEIC is a distributor of electric energy and heat in six municipalities in the region and its 83 employees are also active in the field of energy efficiency, electrical installations, telematics, home automation and security solutions, and multimedia services via its participation in SA. We are looking to strengthen our networks department Metering Specialist (M/F/X) Your mission You ensure the technical mastery of the metering sub-system and pilot its evolution, guaranteeing its consistency with data acquisition systems. You analyze, design, test and validate technical solutions in order to guarantee their reliability and exploitability in an environment of interconnected systems. As the technical referent for the metering sub-system, you design and define its solutions, and intervene as an expert in the uses of data acquisition and management systems, contributing to their evolution in close collaboration with the architect. You contribute actively to the structuring and simplification of the technical environment. Your responsibilities Analysis & understanding of systems Understand the functioning of remote reading and metering systems Analyze interactions between equipment, communication and systems Identify inconsistencies, limits and areas for improvement Tests & technical validation Perform tests and pilot projects to validate technical choices Operate and develop a test laboratory as a central tool for system validation, in order to reproduce and analyze its functioning Validate end-to-end functioning: meter ? communication ? systems Parameter setting & fine-tuning Design the technical solutions of the metering sub-system, from the meter to the communication, including equipment, protocols and parameter setting Define and evolve the reference configurations implemented in the field by technicians Test and validate equipment, firmwares and configurations in a laboratory environment before deployment Guarantee the proper functioning of the metering sub-system, by ensuring the reliability of deployments across the fleet and the absence of regression Evolution & technical recommendations Ensure the technical choices of components and solutions within the metering sub-system, as well as their acquisition and their availability for technicians Arbitrate technical choices based on operational constraints Analyze the uses of data acquisition and management systems, identify evolution needs and carry technical recommendations in close collaboration with the architect Contribute to cross-functional projects of the department or the company, including outside the field of metering Support & structuring Establish use procedures and directives Structure and document practices Train metering technicians Provide 2nd level technical support Supplier relations Manage the technical relationship with suppliers of the metering sub-system Contribute to the evaluation of solutions for data acquisition and management systems, in close collaboration with the architect Monitoring & technical evolution Ensure active technological monitoring of equipment, systems and components (meters, communication, protocols, software) Follow technological evolutions and identify their impacts and opportunities for the metering system Your profile Technical training (electricity, electronics, automation or equivalent) Experienced metering technician, or technical profile from a related field, wishing to involve themselves actively in the understanding and mastery of the global functioning of the data chain Curious, analytical and autonomous, with a rigorous approach to technical systems Ability to analyze, structure and understand complex technical systems Comfortable with a concrete approach: test, verify, analyze before deciding Assets: Experience in interconnected technical systems, knowledge of remote reading or data acquisition systems (HES, MDM or equivalent), experience in tests, validation or technical projects.
