In order to complete its Municipal Police service, the Commune de Plan-les-Ouates is looking for a Sergeant / Sergeant. Position at 100% - Class 15 Your mission: Implement the action plans and objectives defined by the Head of Service; Guarantee the functioning, activities, and services of the department; Coordinate the various operational activities and monitor work progress and task execution; Establish the schedules for Municipal Police Agents (APM) and guarantee the planning of school patrol officers; Guarantee the implementation of policy regarding prevention and communal security, by enforcing federal, cantonal, and communal legislation in the areas of competence defined by the cantonal regulation and by applying the conventions signed by the communal authorities, as well as the directives of the Public Prosecutor's Office; Guarantee public peace and health, as well as security, according to the means available; Coordinate the organization of controls carried out by private contractors and the monitoring of their reports; Transmit information to the public on the application of laws and regulations in the areas of competence of the APM; Coordinate actions with internal (other services) and external partners; Guarantee the smooth running of events according to the means available and participate in transversal activities with other communal services; In the absence of the Head of Service, ensure substitution, respond to employee requests and disseminate information to them, notably through regular meetings, and communicate regularly with the Corporal. Also perform the function of Relief Post Commander (RCP). Your profile: You hold an APM or police certificate or an equivalent training deemed appropriate, supplemented by management training; You have worked in one or more areas of law enforcement on Swiss territory for a minimum of 5 years; You can justify several years of professional experience as a sergeant or corporal with a level of responsibility similar to the position offered; You have excellent writing skills and command of standard IT tools; You have a good knowledge of Genevan political institutions; You have a strategic and analytical mind, good organizational skills, and a good ability to anticipate; You possess excellent interpersonal skills, know how to show empathy and diplomacy; You show moderation and are capable of maintaining perspective; Start date: immediate or to be agreed upon Are you ready to take on this new challenge with talent and commitment?
