Berne, Switzerland (and home office) | 80-80% What you can contribute <br /> • Handle specialized themes and files related to identity documents, particularly their digital components (chip, LDS, LCS) and digital identity documents • Perform analyses, evaluations, reports, and position statements on developments in Switzerland and abroad, notably regarding standards and regulations relating to identity documents issued by the European Union (EU), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO); make this expertise available to the various stakeholders of the Confederation and the cantons • Develop decision-making bases, management files, and proposals intended for the office management, the department, and the Federal Council • Contribute to the development of concepts, strategies, and projects aimed at developing this specialized field • Represent fedpol and Switzerland within national and international specialized bodies (ICAO, European Commission) <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • Ideally a degree from a higher education institution or equivalent training • Willingness and ability to quickly acquire specialized knowledge (identity documents, the chips they are equipped with, associated LDS and LCS, applicable international standards, certification requirements), to deepen it, and then to transmit it • Strong analytical and conceptual skills and a high aptitude for interdisciplinary work • Ability to work independently, in a structured and responsible manner • Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and exchange with various stakeholders • Very good knowledge of two official languages and English <br /> In a few words Do you want to leverage your expertise and actively contribute to the development of Swiss identity documents? The Police and Identification Systems (SPI) Management Domain of fedpol ensures the secure operation and development of central databases and information systems, acts as a hub for the exchange of police information, and provides forensic and identification services to Swiss and foreign partner authorities. The Identity Documents and Central Services (AZS) Division fulfills the legal tasks of the Confederation regarding identity documents and weapons and explosives law. It includes the central offices for weapons and explosives, the Identity Documents and e-ID Domain, and the Security Documents and Counterfeit Money Competence Center; finally, it assumes high surveillance and market surveillance, the issuance and development of identity documents and e-ID related solutions, as well as the analysis and fight against abuse and falsification. Additional information The contract duration is limited to two years, as it is to replace a person who will be absent during this period.
