The mission of this department is to offer quality care adapted to the needs of women at each stage of their lives and to the health problems faced by newborns, children, and adolescents from birth to the age of 16. It works on the development of cutting-edge services and specialized competency centers. The mission of the gynecology service is to ensure the follow-up of women throughout their reproductive life and during menopause. It welcomes women and couples with maximum comfort and safety, respecting the privacy and values of each individual. The service consists of several specialized consultations. The medical oncogynecology, surgical oncogynecology, and surgical senology units thus ensure the joint management of gynecological cancers and breast cancers. The reproductive medicine and gynecological endocrinology unit organizes the management of issues related to reproduction, infertility, and menopause. The perineology unit's mission is the prevention and treatment of genital prolapse ("organ prolapse") and urinary incontinence. The Unité des urgences gynéco-obstétricales welcomes patients 24h/24 and 7j/7 and handles between 18'000 and 20'000 consultations per year, for any gynecological and obstetrical problem. It has 8 consultation rooms: 3 gynecology rooms, 4 obstetrical rooms, and 1 room equipped with a colposcope and kits for the management of sexual assault findings. The gynecology service simultaneously ensures the teaching of specialist gynecologist-obstetricians, contributes to the training of medical students, and participates in the continuing medical education of established doctors. Thanks to the emphasis placed on research, the service offers women the best possible quality of care, in compliance with procedures established at both federal and international levels. Senior Registrar in the surgical senology unit - 100% As a senior registrar with a specialty title in gynecology and obstetrics in the Surgical Senology Unit, you will ensure, under the supervision of the medical hierarchy, the management of patients suffering from mammary pathologies, benign or malignant, requiring medico-surgical management. In this framework, you contribute to the supervision and training of medical interns and trainees. As a senior registrar, you also participate in on-call duties in the gynecology and obstetrics services. Operating in a stimulating university environment, within a multidisciplinary team, you supervise and oversee medical interns and trainees, thus contributing to their training. Qualifications: You hold a federal medical diploma or a title deemed equivalent recognized by MEBEKO. You benefit from a specialist title in gynecology and obstetrics or have a title deemed equivalent recognized by MEBEKO. You possess the right to practice allowing you to work in the canton of Geneva and you have a French level of C1. You have experience as a senior registrar and have the necessary surgical and obstetrical skills and experience to ensure on-call duties in this function in a university setting. Your knowledge and solid experience allow you to independently practice the following surgical interventions: operative hysteroscopies (polypectomy, myomectomy, treatment of synechia and uterine septum), diagnostic laparoscopies with chromoperturbation, simple cystectomies, salpingectomies, cesareans, and instrumental extractions. Theoretical training and professional experience in the field of reproductive medicine, gynecological endocrinology, and gynecological imaging are an asset for the position.
