Pipe Network Fitter Permanent position Water supply Did you know that the city of Zürich has a water pipeline network of around 1'550 km? By taking care of this network, our dedicated team of around 50 pipe network fitters makes an important contribution to the high quality of life in the city of Zürich. Would you like to actively engage in «Züriwasser» with us? Do you want to develop personally and professionally? Then we should get to know each other. For the new construction, expansion, and maintenance work on drinking water pipes (including house connections), we are looking for new reinforcement by agreement. Tasks After a comprehensive introduction, you will take over a wide range of pipe construction and repair work on varied pipeline constructions and other projects, such as house connections in the city. You are significantly involved in the construction of house connections and thus ensure a reliable water supply for our population. With precision, you measure pipe parts independently and take care of water shutdowns in a responsible manner. After your training, you will perform recurring standby duty (approx. 6 times a year, one week each) and thus contribute to the supply in the event of an incident. You work with other pipe network fitter specialists in the team and can gain new work experience on impressive pipe systems (~50 mm to over 2 m in diameter); an exciting challenge that goes beyond the classic sanitary and pipe construction sector. Profile A completed vocational training EFZ in the field of sanitary, heating, metal construction, or construction crafts Existing further training as a pipe network fitter with a federal certificate of proficiency is an advantage; or you are willing to acquire this qualification with us (required for exercise; supported by the employer) Working outdoors in any weather is not a challenge for you, but a welcome change Your team skills, your high quality and safety awareness, as well as your commitment characterize you You are flexible, willing to perform standby duty, and ideally at home in the Stadt Zürich region You have a driver's license category B and good German language skills We offer A structured introduction and a further training plan, which we support financially and temporally.
