RhySearch is the leading research and innovation center in Switzerland in the fields of optical coating, ultra-precision manufacturing and the cross-sectional topic of digital innovation. We conduct applied research and development in cooperation with high-tech companies and other research institutions and are recognized by the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SBFI) as a technology competence center of national importance. With our facilities and machines, as well as our measurement technology, we are unique in Switzerland. For the department Optical Coating and Characterization Lab (O2C Lab), we are looking as Team Leader (a) «Projects Ion Beam Sputtering and Others» a personality with a good sense for people. With your scientific background in optical coating, leadership experience and passion for your work, you are committed to helping to shape and expand the future of our department together with the team. Your tasks • Technical and personnel management of the team «Projects Ion Beam Sputtering (IBS) and Others" • Ensuring the utilization, financing and further development of employees • Active project acquisition and maintenance of industry and research partners with a focus on applied research and innovation • Co-shaping the strategy and market development in the O2C area • Management and collaboration on funding projects and direct orders Your profile • Completed technical studies related to optics or photonics, ideally with a doctorate • Sound experience in the development and manufacture of optical interference layers • Proven experience as a leader in a comparable position • Successful acquisition and support of funding projects • Good networking in industry and university research, industry experience is an advantage For this position, you bring strong team and leadership competence as well as joy in working with different personalities.
