December 2030 Work location: Bern Research project on digital leisure The PHBern awards around 800 teaching diplomas per year and is thus one of the large Pedagogical Universities in Switzerland. Equally significant is its commitment to continuing education and services for teachers and school leaders, as well as its professional field-related research, development, and evaluation. The Institute for Research, Development, and Evaluation coordinates the research, development, and evaluation area of the PHBern. It supports the connection of research with teaching and the professional field, ensures purposeful networking within and outside the university, and carries out its own projects. The Center for Research Promotion is the advisory and specialist office for all questions in the area of research and development at the PHBern. It advises and supports all researchers and research-interested employees from the first research idea, through the application process, to the completion of research projects and the dissemination of findings. Your tasks <br /> • Research, processing, and critical classification of scientific literature in the project's subject area • Planning, implementation, and evaluation of empirical studies in the field of digital leisure activities and well-being in (young) adults • Preparation, analysis, and interpretation of quantitative, partly complex data • Project coordination including organizational and administrative tasks (e.g., supervision of assistants, exchange with external project partners) • Participation in scientific publications • Presentations at national and international conferences • Preparation of a cumulative dissertation within the framework of the research project <br /> Your profile <br /> • Completed Master's degree in psychology or a related field with reference to well-being, media use, or human behavior • Interest in research on well-being, recovery, leisure, media use, health behavior, and/or digital technologies • Initial experience in social science research (e.g., as a student assistant, as part of a research internship, or through participation in research projects); experience in the organization and coordination of projects is an advantage • Good knowledge of empirical research methods and quantitative data analysis (preferably with R) • High motivation for scientific qualification within the framework of the project (PhD) • Independent and careful way of working • Very good English skills in spoken and written form <br /> We offer you <br /> • Attractive development and continuing education opportunities • Versatile activity in a lively university environment • An open, committed, and competent team • High flexibility in the design of work organization • The salary is based on the SNF guidelines <br /> Contact Further information is provided by: Prof. Dr. Katharina Bernecker, Head of Center for Research Promotion (katharina.bernecker@phbern.ch) We would be pleased to receive your application in a single PDF file by 16.
