ICT Systems Engineer (POLYCOM Operation)

Bern (and home office) | 80-100% (job sharing possible) Your contribution • Manage the POLYCOM security radio system for army users and affiliated Confederation organizations • In collaboration with the responsible employment and logistics bodies, manage and configure devices • Ensure the full operation of the fundamental POLYCOM infrastructure of the Defense sub-network • Collaborate on projects aimed at the further development of POLYCOM in the Defense sub-network, from planning to design and the development of concrete and sophisticated solution proposals, up to testing, delivery, and management of the solutions • Ensure the management of IT services for long-term use of services and representation in national working groups (as required) • Create documentation, knowledge development, and training for the operations team and users <br /> What distinguishes you • Training as an IT specialist (HES/SSS), technician (SSS) or engineer (HES/SSS) with specialization in the field of telecommunications or informatics • Solid knowledge of digital transmission technology and basic knowledge of mobile radio communication technologies (4G/LTE, 5G, Mobile Core, VoLTE, IMS) • Good knowledge of IP networks (TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, VPN, firewall) and IT service management • Knowledge in the areas of monitoring, troubleshooting, and quality assurance of communication systems • Basic knowledge of security measures for communication networks (e.g., encryption, authentication, certificate management) • Autonomous and structured way of working within the scope of operations and within the framework of projects (including collaboration with suppliers) <br /> In summary Join the Cyber Command and assume co-responsibility for the full and secure operation of the national security radio system for the benefit of the army as well as the authorities and organizations active in the field of rescue and security (AOSS).
