Deputy Management / Head of Living, Atelier and Workshop Division

The association Avertamain accompanies around 35 people with mental impairments in their self-determined lives in the Canton of Bern. Our clients mostly live in their own apartments in Bern Biel and Aarberg; in the middle of society. We work individually and person-centered. In addition, we operate an atelier and a workshop in Aarberg. In the Canton of Fribourg, we have two houses with - currently 5 intensive places - with all-round care. Our work is based on trust, participation and professional relationship management. Around 25 committed employees work for this every day. As part of a succession arrangement, we are looking for a technically proficient, strong-willed and humanly convincing personality as of 1 November 2026 or by arrangement. Your tasks • In this key position, you will take over the technical, personnel and organizational leadership of the respective team management Bern and Freiburg, the workshop manager and the head of the atelier • You will actively help shape the further development of our services and share responsibility for the future of Avertamain. • Coaching, support and advice for the employees reporting to you. • Responsibility for the quality of our services • Co-shaping of organizational and strategic development processes • Participation in the operational and conceptual leadership of the organization • Advising the management on technical issues • Promoting a cooperative, solution-oriented and appreciative cooperation • Representation of the organization towards relatives, specialist agencies and external partners What you bring with you • Degree at tertiary level (FH, HF or university) in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Psychology, or a comparable field of study • Several years of professional and leadership experience in the social or psychosocial sector • Joy in accompanying, strengthening and developing employees • Clear, empathetic and binding leadership style • Entrepreneurial thinking as well as interest in organizational development • High social competence, ability to reflect and resilience • Enthusiasm for person-centered accompaniment and socio-psychiatric work What awaits you with us • A versatile leadership function with high possibilities for design • The opportunity to sustainably help shape the accompaniment and care of our clients technically and organizationally • An open, appreciative corporate culture • A committed, experienced and proactive team • Meaningful work with social relevance • Attractive employment conditions and good social benefits • 5 weeks vacation
