Bern | 80-100% This is what you can contribute <br /> • Monitor the situation of national and international security- and population protection-relevant events related to Switzerland. • Evaluate information, condense and create situation products for the operational and political-strategic level. • Lead the situation center during operations and exercises. • Train and support the support staff of the military staff Bundesrat NAZ as a specialist teacher. • Contribute technically to a nationally significant IT project and define requirements, conduct tests and accompany the introduction. • Provide second-level support for a central specialist application of the National Alarm Center, together with other team members. <br /> What makes you unique <br /> • University degree at the Master's level or equivalent education/experience, preferably in the field of security policy, international relations or related fields. • Work experience in teams with different specialties and the ability to present complex facts in a way that is understandable to laypeople. • Ability to make structured decisions under time pressure in critical situations and to implement solution-oriented measures quickly. • Experience in providing technical contributions to IT projects. • Active knowledge of two official languages, passive knowledge of a third official language and English • We offer a responsible, security-relevant activity at the national level in an interdisciplinary, operation-oriented team with varied tasks. <br /> In brief The Federal Office for Population Protection BABS is the nationally recognized coordination office for population protection between specialist offices of the Confederation, cantons and third parties.
