Psychologist

The University Clinic for Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine provides clinical services in the fields of anesthesiology, emergency medicine, and pain medicine. In the outpatient interprofessional pain consultation clinic, around 1'300 patients with complex acute and chronic pain syndromes of various etiologies are treated annually as part of a structured biopsychosocial care concept. To expand our interdisciplinary treatment offerings, we are looking for a qualified psychologist. What awaits you <br /> • Conducting interprofessional initial consultations including structured psychological diagnostics as well as the creation of an integrative treatment concept based on the biopsychosocial model • Psychotherapeutic treatment of patients with chronic pain syndromes and comorbid mental disorders • Implementation of pain and psychoeducational interventions in individual and group settings • Promotion of coping strategies, self-management skills, and experiences of self-efficacy in dealing with pain and its biopsychosocial consequences • Instruction in evidence-based methods of relaxation, imagination, and mindfulness • Perspective for the development of biofeedback methods • Active participation in internal clinic training to convey the fundamentals of pain psychology as well as conceptual co-design of the strategic further development of outpatient pain medicine <br /> What you bring with you <br /> • Completed university degree in psychology (Master or equivalent) • Completed or advanced training in psychotherapy, preferably with a cognitive-behavioral, systemic, and/or integrative orientation • Clinical experience in the field of pain psychology or psychosomatic medicine is an advantage • Committed, resilient personality with high personal responsibility, interprofessional cooperation skills, and scientific interest • Good oral French skills are desired <br /> Our offer <br /> • A professionally demanding and versatile activity in a committed multiprofessional team at a university institution • Scope for design to contribute own ideas and for the proactive co-development of the department • Regular internal team inter- and supervision as well as access to an interdisciplinary continuing education and training program • Predictable working hours in the outpatient setting without weekend services <br /> Questions about the position?
