Application: https://apply.workable.com/destinusgroup/j/A36EDCB52A About the position Destinus's engineering team is looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Technician (Production Worker) to assist in the assembly, integration, and testing of mechanisms, safety devices, pyrotechnic assemblies, and propulsion systems. The position involves practical activities in both the mechanical and electrical fields and requires precise manual skills, a structured way of documenting, and the willingness to work in a safety-critical environment with energetic and hazardous materials. The ideal candidate takes responsibility for their work, is equally proficient in using torque wrenches and soldering irons, and understands that quality in this environment is based on process discipline, consistent compliance with safety regulations, and careful documentation. Your tasks Assembly and integration of mechanical and electrical components for mechanisms, safety devices, pyrotechnic assemblies, and propulsion systems. Installation and soldering of wire harnesses, sensors, igniters, and electronic components according to aerospace standards. Carrying out quality controls and functional tests on assemblies as well as ensuring compliance with technical specifications. Handling energetic and hazardous materials in compliance with applicable safety regulations, permits, and work instructions. Creation, maintenance, and implementation of SOPs for assembly, integration, and testing processes to ensure safety and repeatability in every work step. Performing mechanical tests and validations as well as precise documentation of results and reporting of deviations. Support in error analysis and corrective measures in cooperation with the engineering and QA teams. Participation in the continuous improvement of assembly and integration processes while complying with all safety and quality requirements. What you should bring Completed training or technical degree as a mechanic, electrician, or mechatronics technician. At least 1–2 years of practical technical professional experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Sound practical experience with mechanical and electrical systems. Experience in wire harness assembly, soldering, and in performing high-quality electrical installations. Experience in handling energetic, pyrotechnic, or other hazardous materials or the willingness to train in this area; knowledge of relevant safety requirements is an advantage. Experience with quality control, functional testing, and documentation standards in a production environment. Ability to consistently apply and implement SOPs in a detail-oriented and safety-critical environment. Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or another highly regulated manufacturing industry. High level of attention to detail as well as a structured, disciplined, and methodical way of working in assembly and testing activities. Very good German or English skills.
