They operate computer-controlled plants in which high-quality pharmaceutical, chemical and biological products are manufactured. At Novartis, chemical and pharmaceutical technologists control and monitor chemical and biotechnological production plants in which active ingredients for medicines are produced step by step. These tasks require chemical and pharmaceutical technologists to know all plants in their work area precisely, to have a good technical understanding and to have basic knowledge in technology, chemistry and physics. About the Role ### Duration of apprenticeship: • 3 years   Schooling background:   • Sekundarschule A (ZH), Sekundarschule E (all other cantons, except AG), Bezirksschule   Languages:   • German and English   Attractive salary:   • 1st year of apprenticeship: CHF 850 per month • 2nd year of apprenticeship: CHF 1-050 per month • 3rd year of apprenticeship: CHF 1-400 per month Vacation:   • 27 days per year (5 weeks and 2 days) Cost coverage:   • CHF 530 for public transport in Northwest Switzerland per year • CHF 600 for Bring Your Own Device • School books • Work clothing (if required) Fitness subscription:   • Discounted fitness subscription (Basel/Stein) Reka credit:   • Apprentices also have the opportunity to purchase Reka credits Accommodation:   • If you live further away, you can live in our dormitory Why Novartis: Helping people with disease and their families takes more than innovative science.
