It includes, among others, the Air Force, the Land Forces, the four territorial divisions, the SWISSINT competence center, the special forces command, and the military police. Approximately 40 percent of the nearly 2500 employees are civilian employees: from engineers to aircraft mechanics to analysts. The Swiss Army employs over 9000 employees within the framework of four military professions and about 200 civilian professions, in 110 locations throughout the national territory.
