Institut Menzingen employs around 140 staff members and conducts the operational business of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on their behalf. This includes the St. Franziskus nursing home with 87 nursing beds and a holistic health offering, the care of the sisters' residential communities in Switzerland, and the maintenance of the monastery courtyard with the church wing, a newly emerging bistro, as well as residential and commercial space. The community of the Sisters of the Holy Cross was founded in 1844 in Menzingen and is represented today on several continents of the world. The Swiss province currently includes around 130 sisters; most live in Menzingen. Immediately or by arrangement, we are looking for you as Head of Housekeeping 80-100% Your tasks: • Responsibility for housekeeping matters in the St. Franziskus nursing home/ Haus Clara, including cleaning, laundry, and cafeteria • Personnel, technical, and organizational leadership of the team with around 20 employees • Contact person for residents and guests and a role model for employees • Ensuring efficient and economical operational processes from purchasing and storage to disposal • Implementation of specifications regarding hygiene, quality, and occupational safety • Ensuring the various interfaces • Budget responsibility for the area Your profile: • Completed training as Fachfrau/Fachmann Hauswirtschaft EFZ, a degree as a Housekeeping Operations Manager is desired • Understanding of the needs of elderly people • Service-oriented personality with polished manners and an impeccable appearance • Independent, careful, and clean way of working • Sense of responsibility, teamwork skills, and resilience • Flexibility and willingness to work irregular hours (including weekends and public holidays) and assignments during special occasions We offer: • Meaningful activity with points of contact in all areas of the institute and the nursing home • Opportunities for design at the threshold to the future in a monastic environment • Perspectives to further develop oneself and contemporary employment conditions including participation in public transport tickets, free parking spaces, and subsidized meals Are you interested?
