The umbrella organization Dachverband Schweizer Jugendparlamente DSJ is the non-partisan, practice-oriented competence center for political education and political participation of young people. The members of our association are 63 youth parliaments in Switzerland and in Liechtenstein. We are looking for a personality as of 1 September 2026 or by arrangement for the Head of Communications & Member of the Executive Board What you will do with us • You are part of the executive board of the DSJ, take on responsibility and proactively help shape our association. • You are responsible for the communications department with an annual budget of CHF 390'000.- and lead a team of four permanent employees and four employees on an hourly basis. • You are responsible for the association-wide communication planning. • You are responsible for the association-wide communication measures (DSJ website, annual report, newsletter etc.). • You lead and coordinate the external communications of the DSJ (incl. media and public relations). • You are responsible for complying with the communication concept and developing it further if necessary. What you should bring with you • Proven experience in communication work of a DSJ-like organization. • Leadership experience (including in the voluntary sector). • Very good knowledge of CMS systems, social media channels and online advertising. • Excellent planning and coordination skills. • Very high sense of responsibility. • Team player with very good communication and presentation skills. • Experience in dealing with stress and pressure situations. • Creative, resourceful and a strong doer mentality. • Native German or French and very good knowledge of the respective other language. • Excellent writing skills in the native language.
