Vocational Trainer for the Technical College in the field of Mechanical Manufacturing The Berufsbildungszentrum Biel is a bilingual cantonal vocational school with four departments and around 2’000 learners. We are present at three locations in Biel, offer bridge offers, basic vocational training as well as vocational baccalaureate and, with the Technical College, have a training workshop for microtechnical professions in which we train young professionals. You are in demand specialists in numerous companies in the watch and precision industry, micro- and medical technology, as well as in robotics and automation. We are looking for a vocational trainer for the Technical College in the field of Mechanical Manufacturing. per 1. August 2026 75 to 100 percent What awaits you You take responsibility for the practical vocational training of the mechanical professions (EBA and EFZ). In a team consisting of several vocational trainers, you apply your expertise and your commitment to the quality development of the training and various projects. You maintain the interfaces both to external partners and within the BBZ with the other departments. Areas of responsibility Pedagogical responsibility in the implementation of the educational plan Training and support of the learners (conventional manufacturing) Teaching the basics in CNC manufacturing (ISO, CAM) Creation of simple CAD workshop drawings and models (CAD 2D and 3D) Acquisition and processing of customer orders from industry in cooperation with the learners Acquisition and maintenance of partnerships for industrial internships and collaborative training Organization and implementation of career choice and apprenticeship marketing What we expect An EFZ training in the field of mechanics with proven professional experience. You bring initial experience in vocational training. The training and promotion of young people towards skilled workers is close to your heart. You show initiative, are well organized and a team player. With your open and communicative manner, you are present, roll up your sleeves and bring projects to completion. You communicate in German, French skills are an advantage. You are ready for further training to become a full-time vocational trainer (EHB) or already possess this.
