AOZ is a non-profit, independent public-law institution of the City of Zürich with over 2000 employees and more than 1000 intercultural interpreters and volunteers. Commissioned by the Confederation, Cantons, City of Zürich and other municipalities, it provides specialist services in the area of migration and integration. Consultant Zürcher Anlaufstelle ZüRAS 60% Your tasks • You advise and support persons seeking advice in complex cases in the area of racial discrimination/xenophobia (main focus). • As required/indicated, you intervene with the discriminating actors (individuals, institutions), e.g., in writing, by telephone or in person. • You document the case-related work in the internal data collection system as well as for the statistics of the national monitoring of the advisory network for victims of racism. • You present the offer and the findings from the case work of ZüRAS at external specialist offices, committees, organizations. • You work with internal and external networks, working groups and specialist committees in connection with the topic of racism and discrimination. • You participate in service-specific forums such as supervision, intervision etc. Your profile • Completed studies in the field of social work, social sciences or similar (FH or university) • Additional training in the field of systemic counseling, mediation, family therapy, supervision or similar, or willingness to complete such. • Proven counseling and analysis competence • Work experience in the field of racism/discrimination protection and/or in-depth knowledge of racism and its forms of action • Experience in counseling people in precarious living circumstances • Very good communicative competence and capacity for reflection Erich Diethelm HR Recruiting Partner recruiting@aoz.ch
