The Department of Medicine (DMED) ensures global and specialized care for female and male patients, in both hospital and outpatient settings. Within this department, the Endocrinology, Diabetology and Metabolism Service ensures specialized care for female and male patients both in hospital settings and in outpatient consultation. Its activity covers the diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of chronic diseases, notably diabetes, obesity and their complications, as well as the management of specific treatments such as radioactive iodine. Working in close collaboration with other HUG services and referring physicians, the team places a multidisciplinary approach at the heart of its mission, aiming to offer personalized and high-quality care. This position is newly created and is part of the ALTER deployment which aims to ensure the compliance of work organization with the Labor Act (LTr). Job description ## As an internal physician, you have a marked interest in the field of endocrinology / diabetology and wish to develop your clinical skills within a reference university environment. Under the supervision of senior physicians, you take charge with rigor and clinical sense of the female and male patients entrusted to you. You develop your analytical abilities by facing sometimes complex clinical situations. Thanks to your sense of organization, you ensure practical activities, clinical and therapeutic interventions, while ensuring strict compliance with internal rules and procedures, with a constant concern for the quality of medical services provided. Evolving in a stimulating and demanding university environment, within a multidisciplinary team, you collaborate closely with the entire medical care team and ensure the maintenance of clear, fluid and respectful communication, both with your colleagues and with female and male patients, by adapting your discourse to their needs and understanding. Please note that this position is not part of an FMH training in endocrinology-diabetology. Qualifications ## You hold a federal medical diploma or have training deemed equivalent by the Commission des professions médicales of the Office fédéral de la santé publique (MEBEKO). You have a perfect command of the French language (C1 level required) and a very good capacity for written and oral expression. Possessing excellent communication skills in a multidisciplinary team and with patients, you are a dynamic, flexible and committed person. Furthermore, you have demonstrated strong adaptability.
