The cantonal Sozialamt performs the task of personal social and addiction assistance on behalf of the municipalities and supports people in accessing economic social assistance. To this end, it operates eight regional social services in the regions of the canton. The regional Sozialdienst Prättigau/Herrschaft/Fünf Dörfer is responsible for 18 municipalities with a catchment area of 43 000 people.
