• 17 July 2026 • 100% • Temporary • CHF 91-917 - 124-285 /year • French (Native language) • Rte des Jeunes 1c, 1227 Genève Your mission The Office de protection de l'adulte (OPAd) executes the curatorship mandates entrusted by the Tribunal de protection de l'adulte et de l'enfant (TPAE), ensuring the aid and protection required by individual situations, within the limits of the mandate and respect for the legal framework. In order to respond to the specific needs of the most vulnerable people and those most resistant to the support of curators, the OPAd is reinforcing its intervention system by setting up a unit composed of several out-of-walls adult protection workers (IHMPA) coming from both the social work field and mental health care. Intervening in pairs with people suffering notably from psychic disorders, addictions, or living in highly degraded conditions, the IHMPA's mission will be to create, maintain, or re-establish a link with the latter by ensuring home visits, in accommodation facilities, and with homeless people. Through their field intervention and follow-up, they will be able to identify risks and advise appropriate support measures, while promoting collaboration with the socio-sanitary network. Concretely, the IHMPA will notably have the following tasks: • accompany curators in complex situations presenting a high level of risk • proceed with an evaluation of situations taking into account all elements at play and follow their evolution • contribute to the assessment of risks for the person, their entourage, and professionals • ensure liaison with network partners, notably in the fields of psychiatry, mental health, and addictology • formulate proposals for adapted support and promote the use of the socio-sanitary system. Your profile • Particular skills characterizing the position IHMPA must at all times adapt to complex situations presenting multiple issues and a high degree of unpredictability. Demonstrating great autonomy, they work in close collaboration with curators, as well as all partners involved in the follow-up of the persons concerned. In an emotionally demanding context subject to significant stress, they must be able to establish a relationship with people suffering from psychic disorders, addictions, and highly precarious, sometimes isolated, people who are resistant to help or care. Thanks to their experience in the field and their observation and analysis skills, they are a source of proposals for implementing adapted solutions capable of reducing risks. To their human qualities are added great rigor in the follow-up and transmission of information, a keen sense of responsibility, and a capacity to synthesize essential elements in detailed reports. • Training For out-of-walls social worker profiles: Bachelor of Arts HES-SO in social work or a title deemed equivalent. For nurse profiles: Bachelor of Science HES-SO in nursing or a title deemed equivalent, with confirmed experience in mental health. The positions are intended for experienced professionals who can justify a minimum of 3 years of practice in a field related to out-of-walls intervention, social support, or mental health.
