Learn more about the UZH as an employer! ### Tasks • Installation, configuration and maintenance of Linux-based servers (Red Hat) and containers (Kubernetes) as well as ensuring their high availability and performance • Configuration and management of web, application and database servers as well as other components • Development and maintenance of scripts (Ansible, Bash, Python) for the automation of system maintenance and administration tasks • Responsibility for end-to-end operation including lifecycle management • Continuous further development of the existing infrastructure, optimization and automation of existing processes • Ensuring clean and up-to-date documentation of the system landscape and processes • Collaboration with other teams (e.g. application operation, security, network) on cross-departmental topics Profile • Sound knowledge and practical experience with Linux operating systems (Red Hat) • Ideally experience with container orchestration solutions such as Kubernetes • Strong skills in scripting and automation (Ansible, Bash, Python) • Experience in handling common Linux tools • Good communication skills • Team-oriented and cooperative, committed personality • Structured, solution-oriented way of working with the willingness to take on responsibility • Business fluent German skills, good English skills
